From composer Felix Jarrar:
“‘Happy’ is about about how I came to peace with past traumas during various episodes of depression in my life. I cried many tears and healed pain from old wounds during the writing process. This is the first time I’ve been so public with my mental health journey and my life with depression and anxiety. Musically, the song incorporates many influences. The first half is very “classical” sounding, while the second half is predominantly pop influenced. I wrote both the music and words for this set.”
Concert will take place virtually via YouTube Premiere.
This performance is a world premiere work composed by Felix Jarrar.

Ten years after Helen left her husband to be with Paris, this opera imagines life after her return home. With goddesses, sorceresses, and elves to help spin the tale, will Menelas find forgiveness in his heart for his wife? Come experience this lush and dramatic work, a rare offering by one of opera’s greatest creative teams. TICKETS.
